Hello,
I recently re-read over the thread at viewtopic.php?f=12&t=46086 and I located a newer Lenovo firmware than was discussed previously. So, I downloaded the newest firmware, LE13, modified it with MCSE, and flashed it to my drive. The flash itself went fine and the drive still works after rebooting. But I have a problem. I downloaded DiscInfo (both 1.6 and 1.7), and neither of them will identify my drive to tell me if it is unlocked.
1.6 gives me an access violation and refuses to identify *any* drives. 1.7 opens up but doesn't see the real CD drive. If I select to show all devices, it sees my 2 hard drives, and my virtual BD drive (Virtual CloneDrive), but nothing I do (not even running as Administrator) will make it identify the real DVD drive.
I'm running Windows 7, so I don't think this is an ASPI vs SPTI issue, especially since I've run it as Administrator, but I'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?

You must run discinfo in compatibility mode to work succesfully on Windows 7!
