Why you "need" that?

Have you even tested with a DVD+R ????

Yes, I've tested ... DVD+R media burnt with factory firmware takes too long or never mounts on certain optical drives (including LG brand, sheesh). Apparently booktype bitsetting is depreciated because Blu-Ray specification does not utilize it (that is, in theory, does not discriminate based on booktype).

No way, Bitsetting has nothing to do with BD.
Probably your other drives have issues, not the burnt DVDs?!
